Chris Huber is one of Australia’s most outstanding landscape artists, creating richly layered works inspired by both the diversity of the Australian environment and a lifetime of travel.
From the frescoed walls of Italy to the hilltop farmhouses of Tuscany and the fishing villages of Liguria, Chris draws on European colour and texture as well as Australia’s expansive light. Her love of interior design and architecture is woven through her technique, giving each piece its distinctive sense of place.
Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections worldwide, and her imagery is regularly reproduced across fine art prints and selected collector and gift ranges.
Alongside her traditional practice, Chris creates contemporary, three-dimensional collage works using tiles, metal, stones and specialised compounds—built with disciplined foundations for lasting, professional finishes. She is an exhibiting member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists.
Committed to quality, she even collaborated with chemists to develop a unique protective compound to help artworks withstand outdoor conditions.
Our exhibition thrives on the dedication of committed staff and the vital support of volunteers. Their passion shines brightly during exhibition week as the public enjoys the displays. Volunteers are essential for tasks such as receiving works, hanging, demounting, hospitality, administration, and sales.
