Artist’s Statement

I draw a story on the stone and dig till it comes through -some stone has a shape that almost forces the subject though. Nature feels serene to me and contrasts starkly with work in tech. I see carving as mindfulness and meditation combined in one act - for me it brings peace and I like my carvings to convey that too.
